An MS related Issue.

Do you know at which point this in the optimization process that this error occurs (MS2SIM, Product Ion, MRM)? Based on this, it seems like Product ion or MRM.

Exactly. The product ions has very low abundance. The optimiser is in the MRM mode.  So you suggest scaning the product and parent separately in the acquisition window and not in the optmiser. 

Yes, you could confirm the precursor ion and product ion(s) in acquisition outside of Optimizer first. 

If you confirm the precursor and product ion(s), rerun optimizer and monitor at which point it errors. If it is due to low abundance. injecting a higher volume may help address the issue.

Is there any general rule for CE and Fragmentation voltage range. We are doing pesticides mostly and optimisation is run at 

0-60 ce and 50-250 frag voltage. 

We are dealing with masses ranging from 100- 1000.
