We have a brand new Agilent 6495 LC/TQ system with a MS 120 rough pump. We vented and shut off the instrument for building maintenance over the weekend. On startup today, the rough pump receives power (the lights turn on) but eventually fails to engage in any way. We have power cycled many times and rearranged the electrical configuration (the system was working fine last Friday and should be getting sufficient voltage). There seems to be some startup check for the rough pump that is failing. Is there any solution possible besides a mechanical failure despite the pump being ~3 months old?
