Deuterium lamps (part # 2140-0590) disposal

I have some used deuterium lamps (part # 2140-0590) that I need to dispose of.  How are individuals disposing of them?

  • The Deuterium ( D2 ) UV lamp disposal depends on the local regulations, which are different in every country. The D2 lamps (bulb is under vacuum) only contain a fairly small amount of Deuterium, which is not harmful.  May be considered industrial waste.

Note-Except for the D2 lamp p/n 5181-1528 with a Hg-timer (Cut off the mercury timer lead and dispose the Hg according to the country regulations).
