Agilent 1290 Infinity II Flex Pump, Seal Wash Pump Issue

Hello, 
 We have a few Agilent 1290 Infinity II's with flex pumps and observed one of the peristaltic seal wash pumps going forward (as expected) and in reverse (pulling from the output/waste). This was occurring when the Flex pump module was in the Ready, Not ready, and turned off (module's physical button was pushed in). We use Chromeleon CDS for instrument control. Has anyone ever observed this and if so how was the issue remedied?

That is normal behaviour. To ensure that seal wash is working correctly, an air bubble is moved back and forth and is getting detected by a diffraction sensor. Seal wash helps with the removal of particles and salt crystals, lubricates the seal/piston interface and provides cooling of the pistons.
