1260 Infinity HPLC Pressure Fluctuations

Question

Hi all, we are having issues with the HPLC data, since the spectrum look like this (pure water): 
 
 We have noticed a recent sound from the carrier liquid pump, and notice the pressure is lower than usual with fluctuations: 
 Is anyone familiar with this issue or have an idea of what could be wrong? I have no experience with HPLC or troubleshooting of it, so the problem could be rather simple.

It looks like there is no liquid flowing to build up pressure in the system. Normally, it means there is air in the system, but it could also be a problem with a sticking inlet or outlet ball valve. The first step to try would be purge the pump with a viscous mobile phase such as isopropanol to ensure there is no air in the system.
