ChemStation and 35900 ADC Box

Hello,

We have several HPLCs (1100/1200 series) that are connected to radiometric detectors via Agilent ADC boxes.  We would like to use one of the HPLCs as a standalone.  We have disconnected it from the 35900, but every time we open ChemStation and load a method we get an error message that says it cannot talk to the 35900 and to check connections, etc.  We cannot find anywhere in the method editing function that will allow us to remove the 35900 from the method.  Again, there is no physical connection between the HPLC and the 35900, yet it still is looking for it.  Does anyone know how to delete the 35900 from the method?  Thanks.

  • Hello JHC53,

As Shivilik said, recreating the configuration will correct the issue.  Physically removing the 35900 from the LC stack is necessary but will not remove it from the configuration.  In addition, you will need to recreate new methods as the older methods will have 35900 parameters and then you will have another error.
