Can we change detector configuration of 1220 infinity II from VWD/DAD to be RID?

Hi guys, 
 
 I have a question. Can we change detector configuration of 1220 infinity II from VWD/DAD to be RID? In case if customers have tight budget and they just want to use one application for the HPLC. 
 Interested application of customer: Sugar analysis like mono-, di-, or tri- saccharides. 
 
 If you have any experiences like this, please share .

Any G1362A or G7162A/B can be added to a 1220 Compact LC via the CAN bus. Just make sure the FW revisions match or you update both the RID and the 1220 to the latest revisions. Be aware that by design an RID cannot cope with gradients and a quaternary pump needs to be modified to an isocratic one (by bypassing the MCGV).
