I would like to know how the firmware is stored in each LC module.

I have to disagree. The statement "On I nfinity II LC modules the firmware is stored on the fusion board" is true for most Infinity II modules, such as detectors etc., however, for example the Infinity II 1290 pumps, like G7104A, G7120A etc. have a so-called Nucleus mainboard and use "B" firmware, instead of "D" for the Fusion-based modules. 
 In a nutshell: The type of FW depends on the electronics platform, not on the series.

Hello Norman: it's stored either on the main board or on the fusion board depending on the electronics architecture of the module itself
