Carryover Problems in HPLC

Question

Hi! 
 I'm working with a mixture of Ketoconazole, Methanol and Water. Every time I run the samples my blank shows a peak for the Ketoconazole. 
 Did anyone encounter the same problem?

If you are running a gradient, it may be beneficial to increase the amount of organic at the end of the run to ensure everything is removed from the system. Maybe it would also make sense to use a stronger mobile phase for doing the needle wash. Ensure that the column, mobile phase, and system have not been contaminated.
