Expiration of a new UV lamp

Question

The UV lamp of our Infinity 1260 HPLC is reaching its lifetime limit, and we are planning to order a new one. Does a new unpacked UV lamp has an expiration date? If it expires in one or two years, we will order one just when we find the current one not working well. If not, we can order it without considering the expiration.

 The lifetime that you're referring to is a minimum lifetime. You could use the Lab Advisor software to measure the performance of the lamp, before considering replacement.

Hi 
 Generally UV lamp come with life time of 2000 hour( based on model of detector)...So it depends on how you are using. 
 Like if without run, u r keeping lamp on then its hour will consume..
