The arm (in sampler) sometimes it gets freeze without an apparent reason, this is most often in long runs.

Due to this, I need to restart the sampler almost every day, it seems to me It could be a software problem.

  • You would need to provide more details about the problem (what happens exactly), software and driver versions and your configuration (e.g. a System Report from LabAdvisor, so we know about the model numbers used, installed options, firmware used etc.). Also the diagnostic buffers from LabAdvisor would be useful.

  • This can happen when one of the motors on the arm of a vial sampler (G1313, G1329, or G7129) is failing.  It will be fine for a number of injections, then one of the motors gets too hot from all the movement and will cause the sampler to error.  When you power cycle in the morning, it will work again (for a while) because the motors have had time to cool down.

Can you check the instrument log books?  Look for something like "motor temperature overheating."  The presence of an error message such as this will confirm that the transport assembly needs to be replaced.
