Hi everyone. I have a problem with my 8890 GC-MS as I do not have pressure in the inlet. The issue began during the IT outage, the EPC module turned off itself hence all heated zones turned off as well. When I managed to re-establish the connection I could not make the EPC work, there is not pressure at all. It seems that my gas tank is empty, however I am certain there is carrier gas as I have more GCs running well. I have checked for big leaks and I found nothing. I have the feeling that is a software problem (error) instead a hardware one because the GC was working 100% fine. I found the next info in an Agilent article “The epc module can fail in a mode where the inlet EPC valve does not open, causing this same symptom (The inlet will not pressurize at all)” but there is no suggestions on how to tackle it.
