7890 GC - The run was stopped by the instrument s stop button

7890A GC/5975 MS/E.02.02 SP2

Sequence is stopping constantly with the following log book message: "The run was stopped by the instrument's stop button or stop input. The GC Failed to Start."

Found that exact error in the KBR - "Known Problem Report as of May 20 2024 4:00AM"

Someone from Agilent must know the answer to this. Someone had to enter the fix into the KBR!

I found how to know which driver is installed, but how to get the 78xx driver 3.1.1??

Timmas You are running 7890A GC/5975 MS/E.02.02 SP2 ? --- That version of MSD Chemstation was released November 2013 on Windows XP Professionals with SP3. The KBR error/fix you reference is from a document that does not support MSD Chemstation E.02.02 SP2. MSD Chemstation E.02.02 SP2 software has native GC drivers built in.

The latest GC Drivers for those software packages are available for download from Subscribenet: GC/MS MassHunter Software, GC/MS MassHunter Software, and the latest is Agilent GC Drivers 4.1 released May 24, 2024. The older versions are under the "Previous Versions" tab.
