Hello! I've been developing a masshunter method for EPA 525.2. I noticed there's a setting for extraction of masses called Extract Left m/z and Extract Right m/z. I know that this setting is the window that the software will extract the EIC for the m/z I'm looking for but mine is set to 0.3 on the left and 0.7 on the right. It seems to me that they should be equal, so what is the guidance on this and how do you go about testing what your specific method needs?
