The only rough pumps supported by Agilent that should be plugged into the QQQ systems are the Agilent IDP-10 and the Edwards RV-5. Those are the only tested and supported pumps and the only ones used for Agilent service calls. If the MS40-S has the same or better pumping capacity it will work connected by the vacuum hose, of course, and the safest would be to plug the power into a wall outlet to avoid any potential current draw issues on the QQQ mainframe.
