We are trying to develop a new GC 8890. It seems the previous model (7890) could set up individual heated zones?

Does anyone know if this is still possible on the new model?
If not, is there any way to set up new thermal zones / heater systems to "trick" it into thinking there's another column but just maintain the temperature of an enclosed area?
