Documentation about LIMS integration and report builder

Question

Hello, 
I am an IT developer and we have an 8890GC System GC that we are integrating with our LIMS but we did not find in the documentation any reference about the interchange file format (xml) between the LIMS and the equipment (eg. tags, values, restrictions,...).
 We also want to do some modifications to the original system reports (basically change or add columns) and we also don't know what is the procedure in order to modify these reports.
 I would appreciate if someone from this forum can tell me where to find this documentation. TIA, blas

MassHunter Quantitative Analysis is probably used for analyzing the data. The software comes with documentation and manuals on the supplied USB media. I'd recommend looking at the Report Designer Add-in documentation and the Report Builder Familiarization Guide. Also included are a variety of pdf reporting templates that are already created. 
 Many of the manuals are online with links here: (+) Collection of 5977B GC/MS Resources - Wiki - GC/MS - Agilent Community It says 5977B GCMS, but MassHunter is frequently used to acquire and analyze GC detector data as well. 
 There are online courses available for learning more, too: Agilent Technologies (viewcentral.com)
