QQQ fault detected 1.2 ion body driver cannot maintain requested voltage

Hello,

I would check the source body for any contamination.  I would also make sure that none of the wires for the source or heater are shorted/touching any component that they shouldn't be touching.

The ion body on an Agilent GCMS with the Extractor Ion Source is directly connected to the repeller heater/sensor block.  The ion body voltage gets to the ion body through that connection and through the ion source radiator.  The tune ramps the voltage and if the algorithm does not see sufficient change, it assumes that there is a problem that needs to be addressed.  

You can try loading and running a non-extractor tune - atunes.ei.tune.xml , which does not use the extractor lens or the ion body voltage to improve sensitivity.  If that tune completes and the sensitivity is appropriate, then everything except for the extractor and ion body connections are fine.  If it does not, perform these steps

While the ion source is apart, replace the ceramic part of the transferline tipseal.  (+) Agilent GCMS Transferline Tip Seals - Files - GC/MS - Agilent Community .  Replace the extractor lens insulator.  Inspec the brown extractor lens wire and replace if the insulation is worn or damaged.

During reassembly, ensure that the ion source is assembled properly. This error can happen if the extractor touches the ion body or any part of the transferline touches any part of the repeller heater/sensor block or the ion source body itself.
