7890B "Status - MS venting" even after MSD unconfigured

Were you able to resolve the issue? If you configure a GC only instrument in the software this shouldn't be an issue. Please feel free to update us with what you found.

So I never heard back from the customer that was having this issue whether it was resolved, but now I have another 7890B doing the same thing, and this one is at my site. I'm running Chemstation software and the Instrument Actuals are showing the GC Mode as "MS Fast Vent" without an MSD configured.

I just had a 7890B installed and the tech said he never saw this before. We are having the identical issue. GC displaying "MS Venting" and CS software actuals- GC Mode: MS Fast Vent.

Did you have any success clearing that?

Nope, still having the issue. It's not functionally affecting the GC in any way so we've let it be, but it would be nice to make the status read normal.

Hey Collin! Hope all is well. We had a GC exhibiting the same issue. A factory-reset got rid of the status message. Hold down the CLEAR button while power-cycling. I hope this works for you!
