GC baseline

While running oils and extracts on GC,the basline shows wandering as in the attached photo below in the range from 75 to 100 mins.The problem is not related to specific temperature because it appears at the beginning of the run,middle and at the end in different samples.

Also the FID usual signal value is 3 to 4 but when this wandering appears it reaches 8.

Trim the column from both side then run n check...

I think it is not related to a column because the problem exists on two different GCs and one of them has a new installed column.

Ok..

Can you describe about sampling.

I mean direct injection or through headspace.

Are you using TOGA..

Meanwhile, you can check quality of gases like air or hydrogen or helium for moisture etc as you are saying that two gc giving same problem..
