Headspace vial dirty

Hello,

I use HS/GC/FID for quantification of caprylyl glycol in moisturizer. After the run, the cap of the vial is dirty, I find the moisturizer on even if the vial is correctly close.

I don't know how can I clean the oven of the HS. I use a headspace sampler 7697A.

Hi Lema

Check manual of 7697 headspace.

You have to open the cover to access that area.

And if vial become dirty frequently means sample are in access in vial so next time reduce sample so that it can vaporize properly...
