problem with ALS model 7650A when connecting with gc model 6890

Question

we have problem with ALS model 7650A when connecting with gc model 6890 give error message ( the sampler unit has reported an error 
 internal error - out of range , operation may be retried ) 
 we tried to update firmware for gc but the problem still present 
 any help to solve the problem will be appreciated 
 thanks

 If you will see page 26 of 7650A operation & maintenance manual then it is not showing compatibilty with 6890 gc.
