Thanks for reply. How do I know which firmware updates are the latest releases for GC`s and ALS?

As far as I can find;

   7890B FW B.02.05.2

   7890A FW A.01.16

   6890N FW N.06.07

.... are the latest FW updates for GC`s.

What are the latest FW updates for G4513A ALS`s at 7890A/7890B GC`s.?

We actually have a specific ALS issues. :-)

A G4513A sampler (FW A.10.03) is lifting the needle guide "foot" very shortly before the syringe tip leaves the septum at the vial alu-cap (as far as we can see...), resulting in dropped/lost vials from the vial inj.position at the ALS tower.

We are informed that newer G4513A ALS FW revisions might have updated the ALS needle guide sequence, fixing the problem.

Until now, we have tried a different types of injection syringes, different alu-caps (new and old ones), from both Agilent and other manufactures. Alignment of G4513A ALS has also be done. Nothing helps.

Others of our Agilent G4513A ALS samplers with newer FW (A.10.06 and newer rev.) has not had this problem regarding "dropping vials".

Hi Lars,

A.11.04 would be the latest I think. Unless there are specific issues, I usually don't recommend updating firmware as for the most part, firmware compatibility is matched with the software used.
