The test can be done with or without flow cell. Like I said, the last test didn't look awfully bad to me (remember, a failed test in LabAdvisor doesn't necessarily indicate a real problem or even hardware failure).

I have the same problem when the instrument is switched to work at a negative mode. do you think my Medusa power supply also failed? what is the part#? Is G1969-65360 the right part #?
Thanks
Hello from Kazakhstan,
Very interesting theme.
I also have some issues with flow method correction and some questions.
1) We use Excel CFT calculator. So how much pressure we should put on calculator, when using SCD detector with FID? As calculator…
Yes, the MassHunter software uses a conversion factor and reports in "counts" instead of hertz for uECD data. The conversion factor is 7680.
The 7680 multiplier also applies to other GC based detectors such as FIDs and TCDs.
Hi,
We are using MassHunter 10.0.368 to collect data on a GC-FID (7890B). The software will randomly crash (the software shuts down with no information in the logbook) during a sequence, usually after 100+ samples. We have updated MassHunter to version…
What you describe with the washes happening, but a delay when pulling up the actual sample for injection sounds like something about the GC is not in a ready state and the GC is waiting for a part of the GC to become ready. In this case you describe it…
Hi Brenda, Whats the total flow setting on the inlet set at? If the total flow is set high because of a high split can be one reason. I suspect this is more of a hardware fault like a blocked split line or a split valve problem. Shutdown #4 This message…
Hello Maybe this question be out-of-date for the current time but I will be appreciate for everyone that can help me. I have few Varian CP-3800 GC in our Lab, unfortunately some of them failed to operate because of electrical board part. I requested these…
Hydrogen (H2) is the simplest and most abundant element in the universe. Since, it only occurs naturally on Earth when combined with other elements it must be produced from other sources. It can be produced without a carbon footprint from variety of sources…
Hello !
I interesting gc8890 and gc7890.
In datasheet the gc 7890 writing about posible instal 3 detector maximum, but in datasheet gc 8890 writing about posible 4 detector. I never see 4 detectors are installed simultaneously on one chromatograph…
