"Dye Configuration Not Synchronized" Message

This Information Applies To: Agilent AriaMx Reall-time PCR system

Issue

After importing data from a LIMS file or opening a template that has been created for a different dye configuration, the following message could be displayed: "Dye Configuration Not Synchronized - Read-Only Mode! Press Sync Plate button if you wish to perform auto-sync." (See Figure 1).

Resolution 

The message disappears after pressing the Sync Plate button on the top right. After the synchronization process, the current Plate Setup’s dye filter configuration of the experiment file will be changed and the synchronization process will discard existing data about dyes. 

If the instrument freezes after pressing Sync Plate, confirm that the run template has been created from a software version that is compatible with the installed firmware.

Note:  The number of optical modules and the sequence of the optical modules listed in the file need to match the actual optical modules of the instrument. If they do not match, you can manually adjust the modules in the instrument, or, if you transferred the experiment file to the instrument using a USB drive, you can use the Sync Plate feature on the Plate Setup screen of the instrument touch screen.
