This Information Applies To: 4150 TapeStation
Issue:
Lid of 4150 TapeStation does not close, lid closure is not detected, or lid opening reported during run.
The protruding domes are likely loose. As a result, domes on the lower side of the 4150 TapeStation lid increase the distance between the magnet built into the lid, and hall sensor (part of lower front electronics). This can mean that the lid physically cannot be closed, lid closure is not detected or false opening events during a run are reported.
Resolution:
1. Screwing both domes (screws) tightly by hand corrects the issue (Figure 1). This task can be performed by users without risk of damage. Figure 2 shows the direction to tighten the screws. It follows the well-known proverb, "righty-tighty and lefty-loosey".

2. If tightening the domes on the lid does not resolve the issue, then the issue might be related to an electronic or other mechanical issue either with the lid itself, or the lower front. In that case, take photos (if appropriate) and collect log files (open TapeStation analysis software > File > Help > Export Log files). Please contact your local support team to help address the issue.
