Left-side menu bar has disappeared in Openlab CDS

Have you tried running SVT (S0ftware verification tool)?  That can tell you if you have missing files. Go to the  Start Menu > Agilent Technologies >SVT  In the older versions it is called  IQT (Installation Qualification Tool).

Ok, I look for the app and run it. It looks the Overall evaluation failed, with 16 missing files. However, not sure if this explain the missing menu, or if I have additional issues... any comment on this?

Nothing missing from your installation other than some report templates.

I can't say that I have ever seen the problem that you're seeing.  Do you have the same issue with the offline instance?

Thank you for your reply. I just check the offline, and it is also missing there.

I think that, with this version of the software, there are configuration files stored in the "instrument number folder", e.g. C:\Chem32\n  I was going to suggest that you try to delete/rename the config.reg file, having closed all instances of Chemstation.  Since both have the problem, that would mean conf_off.reg is also not right.  I suspect this isn't the problem!!

Maybe this post is related: https://community.agilent.com/technical/lc/f/forum/1699/system-diagram-not-showing-up/2257#2257.  Have a look at the caveats in this post.

I don't know if this would fix the problem.

Failing that, a repair of the installation might fix it.

Thanks for the input. I tried to rename the REG files, but did not work.

I checked the link. They ended by re-installing the software.

I will take a look if I can re-install. So, if I use the original CDs, I guess I will go to the original version and  firmwares? So, not that simple...
