OpenLab CDS - Processing FID data without MS data for GCMS

Hello,

What revision of OpenLab CDS are you running?

Since the error specifically refers to issues when running the system suitability portion of your processing method, I would be interested in seeing what parameters you have specified there.

We have version 2.4

We tried removing the system suitability requirements from the processing method but that did not work.  Is there any parameters in particular and I'll get the analyst to get the information for you tomorrow?

A screenshot of the System Suitability Properties parameters should be enough to get a general idea. 

Also, is your processing method setup for blank subtraction?

Here's a screenshot of the system suit, there is no blank subtraction 

The analyst said he has used the same processing method for a different run with no issues the only difference being that for those runs the MS setting was the same time as the FID (analyst did not know how to switch it off) and for the run with the processing issues the MS was set to 0.1 min as not being used.

Our priority is to process the data already collected (hopefully you will be able to advise how to do this) but for future analysis do you always need to collect MS data even if no data will be generated as column connected to FID or is there a way to switch the MS data collection off?

Hi Susan,

You might want to consider contacting your local Agilent support so that you can interface directly with a support agent and also share the impacted result set with them to expedite troubleshooting: https://www.agilent.com/en-us/contact-us/page 

In the System Suitability>Column section of your processing method are you choosing to 'Overwrite column parameters'? If so, try removing that selection to see if that has any impact.

Is the processing method used for an "MS" type method?  If you're only looking at the FID data, have you selected a "GC/LC" type method?
