During this demonstration, practical examples are presented. The first application is the measurement of the total solar reflectance (TSR) of roof tiles. It will be shown how to set up the measurement for diffuse reflectance with an integrating sphere, and how easy it is to calculate the TSR in the software.
The second application involves the characterization of optical coatings. This requires the measurement of transmission or reflection at variable angles of incidence using UV-Vis / NIR spectroscopy. It is shown how the hardware and software parameters can be optimized according to the sample requirements.
