how do i automatically idle the instrument after completion of a worklist?

I have an Agilent 1290/6420 LC-MS/MS. I want to put the instrument in standby mode (no LC flow and MS in standby) after completion of a worklist. How can I do this? Also, is there a timeout where after a certain length of inactivity the instrument goes into standby? How can I adjust this time?

You may place the system into standby at the end of a worklist by adding a post worklist standby script as the last sample in your worklist. See the linked article for more details. 
 
 There is no timeout period on the MS. It will simply remain in the mode that it was left in.
