Fraction collector transport assembly hitting the side

Good afternoon,

The arm of a fraction collector (Agilent 1260 FC-PS, G1364B) hits the side of the module and halts after overheating. Restarting it in a different position allows the module to reset but the problem persists and is reproducible. E.g. I can ask to move to fraction 1, but when I ask it to move to fraction 6, it hits the side.

The same happens after a cold start. I would like to do a transport alignment but the instrument requests a specific plate.

All transport beams are clean and moving smoothly.

- Is there a way to do it without the specific plate?

- Is the delay sensor actually required for this? The procedure says it is, but nothing was changed in the module to warrant a recalibration

Thank you for any help

Marco
