Can I use Agilent 1100 autosampler in place of Agilent 1290 infinity autosampler?

Sure, but make sure the firmware matches. Ideally you update the entire stack to the latest firmware. Obviously, you'll have to accept the limitations coming from the old sampler. The 1100 ALS (very likely 400 bar) will lower the maximum pressure for the entire system. For classic columns/applications this might not be a problem. Modern, more narrow columns with smaller particles might require higher pressure though.
