What are the pros and cons of putting a TCD in series with an MS? I know that it's possible to put a TCD and FID in series but I want MS data, not FID data. I tried teeing off the column between the MS and TCD but all the samples keep going to the MS and nothing to the TCD. Are there any instructions on how to connect the TCD in series with another detector?
