OpenLAB CDS Macro / export DAD

OpenLab CDS 2.x does not use macros like Chemstation. In CDS 2.8 it is now possible to export spectra manually from DA but not as a batch.

But what should people working with full DAD data do? In general, a lot of data is processed, it is impossible not to work in batch.

Is it possible to download ChemStation and work with this data to use the macro?

Hello,

No, you cannot open CDS data in Chemstation. You can export CDS data in the Chemstation format but that does not include UV spectra. I would guess not many users need to export the full spectral data as most processing can be done in the CDS software. What is the need for exporting the spectra? CDS does not have the 3D spectral view, but you can use the iso plot to visualize your data.

I need to export the data because I work with chemometrics so I need to analyze all the variables.

I will work on a data converter program. I noticed that the .uv and .ch files are binary. Is there a manual explaining the format for me to work with this converter?

No but if you reach out to your local Agilent sales team, they can talk to you about SDK(software developer kit) options for the CDS software.
