OpenLab Control Panel and Mac Address

Hi All

I am trying to set up a replacement PC for a 1200 series LC

PC has two network cards as required (one for our intranet, one for the instrument)

Have installed CDS Chemstation

For some reason under OpenLab control panel, Administration, Licenses the Mac Address refers to the onboard NIC (for our intranet)

Am in missing something?

How do u get it to point towards the add in network card for the intsrument?

Many thanks!

  • Hello,

It should not matter which MAC address you use for the licensing as long as you are not disabling the card used at any point. You can reorder the network card priority by changing the binding order or interface metric in Windows depending on OS version. You should be able to talk to your IT group or search the internet for something like configure the order of network interfaces for your version of Windows.
