Chemstation: HPLC-DAD. How to turn off integration/signal for certain periods of analysis time?

Hello,

We run at two wavelengths (signals A and B). Some analytes are on Signal A, other are on Signal B. Is there a way to configure settings in such a way that Signal A is on for the first part of the run, and then later Signal A shuts off and Signal B turns on?

I tried doing this in what seemed to be the relevant section of the method edit windows, but it didn't do anything. Alternatively, if there is a way to to configure integration to just ignore the relevant periods on each signal, that would also work.

Thank you for any help with this.

  • Hello,

I cannot say for sure, but most DAD detector drivers have a timed event section where you could change the signal. In the example below the method end time is 10 min from the pump and the detector changes wavelength at 5 min. You will likely get a shift in the signal baseline where it changes at 5 min. The other option would be to setup integration off and on timed events into signal specific integration events for the 2 channels. You can time program the integration on and off for each channel as you asked about using that method.
