Agilent Openlab E-Signature

Hello,

If you are talking about OpenLab CDS 2.x you have to setup electronic signatures in the project before you can use them in Data Analysis.

We are using chemstation and don't use the projects tab. Does that mean there isn't a way to set up e-signatures in the data analysis section?

If we are talking about OpenLab Chemstation and not MSD or UV-Vis Chemstation, that software does not have any electronic signature options at all. It is possible if you have a client server install or workstation plus system to do some limited e-sig of the reports or files in the content manager but that does not affect CS at all.

Hi Martin,

Upon further inspection, we are on Openlab ECM 3.5.5.3. I know through the classic client we are able to have signatures from there, however I believe that is just for the reviewer to sign? In addition through control panel we do not have the projects tab set up. So I was wondering if it was possible to sign as an analyst through the instruments tab.

The only thing you can do in Chemstation is see the signature of the ssizip file in ECM through the ECM properties panel. You cannot sign the files or reports from Chemstation, it has to be done from the ECM client. ECM signatures do not have levels or enforced orders, but you can have more than one user sign with different reasons.
