manual injection on GCMS with open lab

I would think that External would work for manual injection.  That's what's done in the HPLC world of manual injectors that use a connection to the rest of the system to signal that the injection has been made,

We have version Version 2.7. 

When I choose External I cannot start the run ("cannot submit run: insufficiant permission") Anyhow in the aquisition method the set up is still with the ALS. 

I have previously done manual injection on another instrument, but with Masshunter. Here I could change to manual injection when editing the method. In Open lab CDS I cannot find the setting.

I'm not sure what you mean by manual injection if you are using the autosampler.

Since you have 2.7, does "ad hoc" mode do what you need?  Have a look in OpenLab Help and Learning to find out more about Ad Hoc mode.
