Quadratic MS Cal Curve Forced Through Origin R-squared

Hi All,

Using OLCDS 2.7.0.

Creating a quadratic MS cal curve forced through origin.

Can not reproduce r-squared value using Excel.

Has anybody encountered the issue with the determination coefficient (r-squared) when making a quadratic cal curve forced through the origin? The math is done slightly differently than in Excel. Is there another software application that will allow me to reproduce this math for a validation?

BTW, same issue existed in ChemStation. We were able to write macros to address this in the custom reports. However, no macros in OL2.

Hello,

It should be possible using IR or custom calculator to create calculations for alternate R2 calculations as well as other values like RSS. The key issue is that you would need to recalculate the residuals for the standards in those packages to use in the calculations.
