Can a UV detector be programmed to change wavelengths during an analysis?

Hi, I am currently using Openlab version 2.3. I was wondering if an OpenLab method can be programmed to change wavelengths on a variable wave detector (VWD) during an analysis.

For example, I would like the UV detector to collect spectra at wavelength 272 nm from 0-3 minutes, and then at wavelength 273 nm from 3-5 minutes.

I would like this to be done on a singular method, not across multiple methods.

Is this possible?

Yes you can create a timetable under VWD Method.

Create a Timetable like you would do for the gradient.

There you have the Option to change the Signal during run.

Hello,

In the method, under the VWD you can open the timetable on the right and then add timed events to change the signal. Also note if you are doing this for a qualification where you are testing the spectral maximum of a material you have manually placed in the flowcell, you can use Lab Advisor to do a scan and export the spectra as a CSV.
