Hoping that everyone is very well, I wanted to know if you can help me, from one day to the next the software stopped responding and asked me for a username and password in the first instance. Letting the software in and only letting a single sample run. After that it closed the program and did not allow to use it anymore.

Now when I open the program I get the following "LOGIN FAILED WITH THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE: THE CONFIGURATION SYSTEM CANNOT INITIALIZE. CHEMSTATION WILL NOW SHUT DOWN." Could someone guide me, since today we do not have the registry key and we cannot use the HPLC.

This usually means that the user.config file is most likely corrupted.

Go to 

Rename or delete the file “user.config”. It will be recreated automatically during the next ChemStation launch process

Win7/Win10 Computer

c:\users\username\appdata\local\agilent_technologies\chemmain.exe_url_xyz\2.0.0.0\user.config

It’s necessary to set folder options to “show hidden files, folders…”

Thank you very much, I will do what you suggest.

It did indeed work as you suggested, it opened the software but it does not connect to the computer.
