Openlab CDS Chemstation edition or Openlab CDS-2?

Hello everyone!

Which one do you prefer in 2019, Openlab CDS Chemstation edition or Openlab CDS-2 and why, some standard list of pros and cons maybe?

The 7890B instrument has 2 FIDs, two capillary columns in the same oven, each column connected to 1 FID, one column attached to ALS on S/SL Inlet and one column to an inlet with a Headspace attached, so I need an ability to inject both channels from sequence planner before temperature programming.

  • I agree with Mr. White. We have several versions here, from chemstation, Openlab CDS Chemstation edition, openlabs 2.0, 2.2 and 2.3 and i must say that 2.3 is the best of them all. I am not a fan of Openlabs CDS chemstation, it is in between chemstation and openlabs and i always felt it was not finished. In openlabs 2.0 - 2.2 i still missed a lot of features. Most of those features they have implemented in 2.3. The ease creating Report Templates or calcurves or overlaying spectra is really such a breeze compared to chemstation/openlabs cds chemstation.
