Are there any parameters to evaluate the performance of the GC Column?
For example, theoretical plate. If there are, is there a standard? For example, The theoretical plate must be greater than 1000.

Hi sojeong,
every test report, delivered with aour columns, contains multiple specifications, but they are all measured with specialized systems and software. That means you might not be able to reproduce them identically. BTW for plate count you also see the minimum spec for this column and the test mixture to use for this.
The best practice in a lab is to have a system suitability column of the same type where you measure with a standardized method the column parameters and set so the quality for your lab. Now you can test any other column (same type) against this. Be aware that column performance is a system performance and not the column alone.

Norbert
