Hi mcarito,
what to use is strongly dependent on the matrix the mycotoxin is in. We have several application notes dealing with OTA:
This is just a selection.
If it is in a "simple matrix" like wine a Bond Elut C18 (500 mg or 1000 mg) would work:
Conditioning Step:
2 X 3 mL acetonitrile, 2 X 3 mL H2O
Sample Application:
100 mL red wine applied to 1 g column
100 mL white wine applied to 500 mg column
0.1 ug/L spiked sample applied to 5 g column
Elution Step:
2 mL acetonitrile
Spiked sample: 6 X 1 mL acetonitrile
Eluent Handling:
Evaporate to 0.4 mL under N2
Remark:
Least concentrated samples required highest cartridge capacity due to great concentration of compound which compete for the binding sites. When OTA is in high concentration there is no retention problems found
Best regards,
Norbert
