How to Review and Confirm Acquisition Method Audit Trails by Administrators in Agilent OpenLab CDS (ver.2.x)

Issue:

This article explains how to review and confirm the acquisition method audit trails by administrators. For basic operations of Acquisition Method Audit Trail, see article: How to check Audit Trail of Acquisition Method in OpenLab CDS (version 2.x) System.

Tips: Reviewing the audit trails requires the role privilege Review Audit Trail. The Administrative User can set the role privilege from the OpenLab Control Panel. If this privilege is not predefined, the Review button cannot be seen.

Steps to follow:

1. Start the Acquisition program from the OpenLab Control Panel or desktop icon.

2. In the Home tab, select Method and load the required acquisition method. To open the Audit Trail window, select General > Properties > Show Audit Trail. 

   

3. The pink colored lines in the audit trail are entries that the operator has not reviewed.

   

4. Select the Audit Trail Details icon

   

5. The Review button is unavailable.

   

6. Scroll to the bottom of the audit trail list and the Review button becomes available.

   

7. To confirm the review, click Review. All pink colored entries will become unavailable.

8. The PDF Export and Print buttons are not selectable as the Acquisition Method has been modified. To Export PDF or print:

   1. Close the audit trail

   2. Save the Acquisition Method

      

   3. In the Home tab, select Method and load the required acquisition method. To open the Audit Trail window, select General > Properties > Show Audit Trail. 

      

   4. The PDF Export and Print buttons will be available.
