Varian Turbo-V 300HT controller

Question

We have the Turbo-V 300HT controller, model 969-9424. Must the interface board RS-232, which it mentioned in manual's section: serial port installation,be supply by Varian (Agilent)?

That turbo controller and the 300HT turbo pump are obsolete. The RS232 communication kit referenced in the controller manual is also no longer sold by Agilent (previously Varian). 
 The current model turbo pump of that size is the 305FS turbo. Turbo Pumps Starter Bundle Kits | Agilent
