Split Vent Trap

Question

Dear all, 
 
 What do you recommend regarding the external split vent trap ( RDT-1020). We would like to increase the safety. However, I have never used this unit before. Any recommendation? Have you experienced any troubles after installing this external unit? 
 
 It looks pretty easy to install, but if you have any recommendation, I would also appreciate it.

Hi OJHH, 
 it is a charcoal trap and the amount is enough for half a year to a year of continuous use in a GC. As preventive maintenance I would replace it after half a year/a year, then you should not have any flow problems.
