MP-AES 4210: cleaning the torch

Question

Hello, We use the MP-AES-4210 to measure Cu and Fe in wine. I need to clean the torch but i would like to know if it can be done with a different solution than the Aqua Regia solution? Thanks

Hello, We used concentrated Nitric Acid ( Suprapure ) to clean the torch. Just fill a beaker and add the torch. Then fill it up and let it there for at least 2 days. If it shows damages of the glass replace it immediately. Hope this helps. Good Luck
