I am trying to find information on setting specifications for the autotunes for He and H2 modes for a 7900 ICP-MS. I have found specifications from agilent for the no gas mode. I am trying to figure out what type of results I should be getting in the He/H2 modes during the system auto-tune to make sure the system is running properly before use and… Show more
Hi, With the installation is an checkout test done. These checkout limits are related to a brand new instrument that doesn't has run the samples. however these limits are not realistic for an sample running system. For compliance reasons we run OQ test. these limits are realistic. below the limits. The document could also be found on the…
The ISTD of my 7700 is fluctuating immense but only in no-gas mode, in He-mode is everything fine with the stability-graph. I have a recovery from about 20 to 180% with all 3 ISTD’s (Sc,In,Lu), they have the same deviation in the same way. It happens spontaneously with every kind of sample, even with a blank. I’d be happy if someone has any… Show more

I want to carry on steam reforming of butane. The gas outlet includes H2, CO, CO2,CH4 and hydrocarbons including C2, C3 and C4. What columns should I choose for this experiment?
I am using an agilent 7890B GC ECD system When i tried to open the Open Lab control panel, " Autostart Macro failed error#41063" was displayed and the control panel did not open. I tried your online solutions for similar error 16289 (Renaming for config files with extension .old and also deleted user.config file). After I started open lab… Show more

Hi, I have been using OpenLab CDS ChemStation for data processing. I used calibration to label peaks. But due to the RT shift over the run, the compound assignment is erroneous toward the end of the run. What would be a good way to resolve this problem? I am thinking of creating a calibration table for each of the individual injection,… Show more
Hello, Unfortunately not. The logic in ChemStation is that the peak with an apex closes to the center of a compound's RT window will be identified as that compound. There is no way to change this. However, in OpenLab CDS you can change this so that the peak with the largest area or height is identified as the compound:

Hello, I'm working in OpenLab v.2.4 and trying find out to how to do the following (if those can be done at all): 1. How can I pass an Aggregate to a VB function as an argument? 2. How can I call a template variable from VB code? 2a. If I assign a new value to an existing template variable, will it be stored after the function ends? 2b. Can I… Show more
In response to your questions about VB in 2.4, I tried some of the things you mention above with VB and was too frustrated to continue. Why was I so frustrated? The environment has no debugging or IntellliSense like Visual Studio. The alternative is to create C# DLL code and call the functions in report expressions. You get to use the great tools…
