Hello, I am running Chemstation E.02.02 SP2 on Windows 7 with a 6890N GC and 5973 MS. Any time I've got Instrument Control open and the computer is idle and goes to sleep, after waking the computer and trying to run a method, instrument control stops responding and has to close. Datafile with some DAD and MSD signals; when adding chromatograms to the IR, the signal descriptions for the DAD signals are correct (ex.; DAD1 A, 254, 4 Ref = off), but the one for the MSD signals only shows as "MSD# TIC, MS File" - it's missing the rest of the expected information like Ionization mode, Polarity, AcqMode for that particular… Show more

Hi : how dose the Unknowns analysis do the RT match when there are both RT and RI in the library? If there is only RT in the library， it is easy to understand that Unknowns compare component RT to library RT with the penalty function. I seem to have inadvertently altered my method and don't have a record of what the pressure & flow should be set at for the inlet, column, and detector. I am using a 30 m .53 mmID, 1.0 um Capillary Column and a splitless inlet. What should my pressures and flows be set to? Thank you, Brenda Haas
Hi Brenda, There may be some information from the data acquired previously by selecting the data, right-click on it and select View ACQ Method. If you don't get much help from this, then; I think it's always a good start by selecting Constant Flow mode with 1ml/min flow and work your way up to achieve the same retention time as your previous…
