Passing a register to a macro in Chemstation A

Hello,

I am trying to write a macro that indexes registers in Chemstation A09.01.  I would like to be able to be able to send the register to the macro as a parameter but I am not sure how to do this or if it is even possible.  I've tried creating a string parameter like in the example macro below and sending the register name (e.g ChromRes) to the macro.

Name Regtest

Parameter RegName$

Local Sample$

Sample$ = ObjHdrText$(RegName$, SampleName)

Print Sample$

EndMacro

However, when I try to run the macro I get an error that the specified macro does not exist.  Is there a register variable "type"?  Or is there some other way to send a register to the macro?

Thanks,

Erik
